Danish Wind Industry Association
Mindblowing Denmark – The Wind Power Hub
In collaboration with the Danish Wind Industry Association (DWIA), EWEA 2012 will demonstrate why Denmark is known as the wind power hub. The number of activities planned will allow conference delegates, exhibitors and visitors to make the most of the fact that the event is in the home of European wind. From networking events to site visits, there will be so many business opportunities to explore in Denmark!
What does the Danish Wind Industry Association say about EWEA 2012?
For us it’s not just “Welcome to EWEA 2012” – it feels more like “Welcome home”. Why?
Because Denmark is the world leader in wind power and has been so for more than thirty years. We are proud to be the global wind power hub. The Danish Wind Industry Association (DWIA) and our broad range of partners would like to offer you the opportunity to experience and explore for yourself.
DWIA has developed a list of activities you can join up to and during EWEA 2012 Annual Event.
You can see more below or you can follow us at www.mindblowingdenmark.dk.

- Electricals systems (Load regulation, censoring & control, transformers, generators, control system and censors)”
Danish Pre-Conference: Integration of Wind Power
As part of EWEA’s 2012 Annual Event, DWIA host a one day pre-conference focusing on grid infrastructure and integration of wind power. The Grid seminar offers you insights in 5 crucial steps to master ensuring both efficient integration of wind power in the power system and obtaining value of wind power right from the first turbines in the grid to penetration level above 15%. At the seminar a broad range of speakers will offer their experiences with the tasks and challenges for all the stakeholders involved in the connection of a new wind farm from the distribution/transmission service operators, politicians, public authorities and the developer of the wind farm. The speakers will both represent the Danish experiences based on our more than 30 years knowledge of integrating wind power in our own power system and international experiences from South Africa, Germany and USA.
