LEANWIND

Logistic Efficiencies and Naval architecture for Wind Installations with Novel Developments

LEANWIND ambitiously aims at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the offshore wind farm lifecycle and supply chain. In particular, it wants to develop new technical solutions to reduce the costs of the offshore wind farm installation, O&M and decommissioning by applying the so-called LEAN principles of efficiency to the wind energy lifecycle and supply chain. These principles, first developed by Toyota to reduce wasteful stages in the production chain and therefore improve the effectiveness of the company, are applied to the wind energy sector for the first time.
