Promising wind markets host policy workshops

19.05.2009

Last month EWEA held the first of a series of policy workshops in promising emerging wind energy markets. Organised together with the Czech Wind Energy Association the workshop, held in Prague, looked at the economics of wind power and its potential in the Czech Republic, grids and wind integration, and wind turbines and the landscape.

The event was attended by government officials and regional authorities, transmission and distribution system operators as well as local developers, media and other wind energy industry representatives.

The next workshops will take place in Bucharest, Romania, on 2 June and Budapest, Hungary on 12 June. These workshops will be looking at the role wind power could play in these countries to reach their 2020 renewable energy targets.

Participation in the workshops is limited and by invitation only.  If you are interested in attending, please contact Jacopo Moccia for the policy workshops on [email protected]. For more information on the workshops, click here.
