The Global Wind Energy Council - GWEC - was launched in Brussels at the presence of European Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs, with the support of the leading national and continental wind energy associations from across the world (Australia, Canada, China, Europe, Japan, India and the USA), and representatives of the wind industry leading manufacturers and developers.
