Info Day at the Intelligent Energy Executive Agency
02.04.2007
The Intelligent Energy Executive Agency (IEEA) will launch the 2007 call for proposals in April 2007. This is the first call under the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme, which will last from 2007 to 2013.
Approximately 55 million EUR will be made available under the Intelligent Energy - Europe II programme to support promotional projects and so-called 'integrated initiatives'. The types of actions that will be funded under this call include promotion and dissemination projects (type 1 projects) and the creation of local or regional energy agencies (type 2 projects). The programme is divided into the SAVE, ALTENER and STEER actions, focusing respectively on energy efficiency, new and renewable energy sources and energy efficiency and renewable energy in transport.
The co-funding rate will be up to 75% of the eligible costs. The deadline for the submission of proposals will be 28 September 2007. For more information, please visit the IEEA website.
The IEEA is organising a European Info Day in Brussels on 19 April 2007, to present ongoing projects and first results and explain the broader policy context. The Info Day will be an exciting opportunity to meet and network with colleagues from across Europe. The draft programme and registration forms will be available soon via this link.
If you are unable to attend the event, you can follow the morning session live on the internet at www.managenergy.tv. Video recordings with sound and integrated slide presentations will also be made available online after the Info Day.
Previously, a call for proposals was launched under the FP7 programme (see Brussels Briefing February 2007). Please note that the deadline for the proposals under DG TREN has been extended until 28 June 2007.
