EWEA’s annual event to team up with WindEnergy Hamburg in 2016

07.10.2015

The European Wind Energy Association is teaming up with Hamburg Messe to host its annual conference alongside WindEnergy Hamburg in 2016.

The combination of EWEA’s leading industry conference in conjunction with the world’s top wind energy expo will create a one-stop shop for businesses, policymakers and the scientific community.

The event will take place on 27-30 September 2016 in a major hub for the international wind energy sector. The conference and exhibition will showcase the very best of the industry, highlighting the successes and addressing the challenges facing wind power today.

Malgosia Bartosik, Deputy CEO of EWEA, said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with WindEnergy Hamburg in 2016. Combining EWEA’s political and industry expertise, with the outstanding business power of the leading trade fair, will ensure the 2016 collaboration is the must-attend event for the global wind industry. Hamburg is a great location to host such a meeting after the 2015 annual gathering in Paris at EWEA 2015 this November.”

Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH: "With WindEnergy Hamburg as the leading global trade fair for wind energy, HUSUM Wind as a trade fair focused on the German market, and the foremost international conference of the wind energy market, northern Germany is definitely becoming the most important source of inspiration for the international wind energy sector. Being able to attend the leading global industry fair and the European wind industry conference at the same location is an extremely attractive proposition to both, our exhibitors and our visitors."

This year, EWEA will host its annual event in Paris on 17-20 November. Thousands of delegates, including industry representatives, policymakers and leading experts, will meet in the French capital just two weeks ahead of the United Nations climate change summit.
