Submit an abstract for EWEA OFFSHORE 2013 and join the experts in Frankfurt

26.03.2013

The call for abstracts for presentation at EWEA OFFSHORE 2013 is now open. It is the world's largest offshore wind energy conference and exhibition, and EWEA OFFSHORE 2013 will build on the success of the last one in 2011, which attracted more than 480 exhibitors and over 8,200 participants from the entire offshore wind energy supply chain.

This year, EWEA OFFSHORE is taking place in Frankfurt in Germany, from 19 – 21 November. The biggest European financial capital and a truly international business location will host the wind industry’s leading players from 60 countries, including: Wind Turbine manufacturers; Project developers and operators; Project financiers; Installation, logistics and storage providers; Operations and maintenance service providers; Resource assessment companies; R&D institutes; Marine platform developers; Ship building and conversion companies; Remote site management service providers; Certification bodies; Port authorities and intermediaries. Annual investments in European offshore wind farms are set to more than triple over the next decade – creating jobs and manufacturing and construction opportunities in many countries.

Abstracts form the basis of the conference programme at EWEA OFFSHORE 2013. EWEA invites abstracts to be submitted under given topics, and these abstracts are then considered for oral or poster presentation at the conference.

EWEA conferences look to present the best in content and ideas-sharing, providing learning opportunities and practical solutions to contribute to a stronger industry. All abstracts are peer-reviewed by experts drawn from across the wind industry. Hundreds of people are involved in the review, scoring the abstracts and ensuring that only those of sufficient quality and interest to the industry make it into the conference programme.

The scored abstracts are further reviewed by Lead Session Chairs, figures from within the industry who have put themselves forward to chair a conference session. Each Lead Session Chair is responsible for the development of one session in the conference programme. They select the very best of the abstracts for oral presentation in their conference session.

Submit your abstract before 19 May 2013 to join the experts at EWEA OFFSHORE 2013.
