EWEC success set to continue in 2009

09.06.2008

This year’s EWEC, held in Brussels, was a record-breaking event, with over 6,000 participants from all over the world. It sets a high standard for next year’s event in Marseille (16-19 March 2009). To be held in France, one of Europe’s strongest wind energy markets, with the largest EWEC exhibition space ever, EWEC 2009 promises to be even bigger and better!

Not for the first time, Marseille will be the meeting point for people from across Europe and beyond, as participants come from all over the world to Europe’s premier wind energy event. Such a lively and modern location provides the perfect backdrop to EWEC 2009, with its focus on progressive technology and industry development.

EWEC 2009 Call for Abstracts now open

Presenting at EWEC is an ideal opportunity to share experiences and discuss the latest policies, products and technical developments to key decision makers, the wind industry and wider electricity community. The call for abstracts for presentations in the conference sessions is now open, covering an extensive list of topics from business, policy, finance, science and technology.

Leading specialists from research institutes and the wind energy industry will carefully review and score all submitted abstracts. The quality and consistency of the entire conference programme will then be verified by the Steering Committee, before the preliminary EWEC 2009 programme is published online (available end 2008).

Visit the EWEC 2009 website to read the list of topics and submit an abstract. The deadline for abstract submission is 10 September 2008.

Exhibition space expanded to cope with high demand

EWEC 2009 will boast 7,500 m² of exhibition space spread over three halls – the third hall being added recently to accommodate unprecedented demand from exhibitors. 85% of the space has already been booked by the 150 confirmed exhibitors - only 1,000 m² of space remains, so the time to book is now!
