Supplying to Burbo Ext. – UK Trade & Investment

UK Trade & Investment Denmark will in collaboration with Dong Energy, MHI Vestas, Achilles and Liverpool Local Enterprise Partnership host a seminar about supplying to Burbo Ext., the 258 MW Offshore Wind Farm project in the Liverpool Bay area. The seminar will focus on procurement plans, supplier registration systems and requirements, and how UK Trade & Investment can assist UK and DK companies in supplying to the project or setting up in the Liverpool region.

“Brief and Breakfast” – UK Market and Investment Update

UK Trade & Investment Denmark will in collaboration with Siemens Wind Power, Bladt Industries and Dong Energy host a seminar giving an update on:

  • The Siemens Wind Power investment in a new production site in Hull,
  • The EEW & Bladt JV investment in a UK foundation production facility,
  • How Dong Energy are managing local content and work with their supply chain to invest into the UK.

The UK: A Unique Partnership Opportunity

This session will showcase some of the UK’s leading offshore wind suppliers. It has been designed to allow UK companies to better understand both the challenges and opportunities of exporting and for developers, EPC contractors and investors to see how the UK could help them deliver high quality and cost effective projects. Speakers will also cover the value of international partnerships as part of the UK’s drive to increase competition, drive down costs and deliver a truly global industry.

The UK: Building a Global Industry

This session has been designed to allow UK companies to better understand the opportunity to do business in key offshore wind markets globally, alongside the support that UKTI can provide them in order to do this. Specialists from each market will outline the size of the opportunity together with some specific areas where the UK’s knowledge and experience is most in demand. This will be followed by the chance to discuss each market with these specialists on a one-to-one basis.
