Gearing up for EWEC 2010
20.08.2009
The 2010 European Wind Energy Conference will cover every key aspect of the wind market – from technical and theoretical to policy and practice – and the simultaneous exhibition will feature leading market players. Key-note speakers at the conference in 2009 included EU Energy Commissioner
Andris Piebalgs and Nobuo Tanaka , Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA).
Over 7,000 participants from around the world are expected at the 2010 event from 20 to 23 April in Warsaw, Poland, and over 150 companies have booked a spot in the exhibition, which is now sold out – including leading wind turbine and component manufacturers, developers and utilities.
Waldemar Pawlak, Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy , described the upcoming conference as “a unique opportunity to exchange views and experiences related to the use of renewable energy sources, identify the obstacles currently facing the industry and develop solutions to overcome them."
A conference called ‘Wind Energy Market in Poland’ will be held on 19 April, devoted to the latest developments in the Polish market. Organised by the Polish Wind Energy Association, the ‘Polish Conference’ will look at the progress being made in the Polish wind energy industry. Many of the leading players of this emerging market will be present. The call for abstracts for EWEC 2010 and the Polish Conference are now open.
