The European Offshore Wind 2009 Conference is approaching
01.12.2008
The European Offshore Wind Conference 2009, to be held in Stockholm, Sweden from 14-16 September, is drawing steadily nearer. Over 2,000 participants are expected to come and make the most of the unique and in-depth information on new developments in the European and global offshore wind industry.
The Call for Abstracts for presentations is now open until 31 March 2009. Abstracts can cover policy, business, science, technology or any other issues relating to offshore wind energy. There will be 24 conference sessions and 200 presentations.
Andreas Nauen, CEO of Siemens Wind Power, will chair the conference. “This conference provides the ideal platform for discussion between all parties regarding the necessary action on grids, administrative barriers and international cooperation, with the goal of developing reliable solutions,” he said. “Only then can we be true partners and take responsibility for a clean energy supply for generations to come”, Nauen went on to add.
The exhibition is already selling out fast, and has recently been extended by 352m2 to reach a total of 2750m2. 70% of the space has already been sold.
