Three new staff members at EWEA
09.07.2008
This month EWEA has welcomed two new members of staff to its Regulatory Affairs Unit - each to focus on a particular dossier – and one to its Communication Department.
Regulatory Affairs Advisor - Member State Liaison
Jacopo Moccia will be joining EWEA’s Regulatory Affairs Unit as Regulatory Affairs Advisor - Member State Liaison. Jacopo, a Belgian and Italian national, will be working closely with the national associations and Member States to help the European wind industry present a more coordinated and effective voice to EU governments.
Regulatory Affairs Advisor – Climate Change and Environment
Rémi Gruet will be joining EWEA’s Regulatory Affairs Unit as Regulatory Affairs Advisor – Climate Change and Environment. Rémi, a French national, will be working on ensuring the EU’s environmental priorities and policies (such as the EU’s Emission Trading System, Post-Kyoto negotiations, the Clean Development Mechanism and Natura 2000 issues) are developed taking into account the benefits offered by wind power.
Communication Officer
Chris Rose’s arrival will bring the EWEA Communication Department to five people. Chris, a Canadian national, will work closely with the Policy Units on a wide range of reports, articles and written material. To a large extent his work will be journalistic, and part of his role will also be media relations-based.
