Wind energy is now world-scale

Over 4200 participants from 44 countries attended the four-day 2004 European Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition. 255 companies exhibited, 220 speakers and chairmen made presentations in 40 scientific, technical, business and policy sessions alongside over 300 poster presentations.

Patricia Hewitt, UK Secretary of State opened the conference

Patricia Hewitt, UK Secretary of State at the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), opened the conference and the following key political figures also made presentations:

2004 EWEC Technical visits

Over 255 companies booked

The Exhibition took place in Halls 1&2 at Wembley with a total floor space of over 10.000 sqm. These halls and all the conference rooms are located within the same building (less than 5mins walk from each other) facilitating a fully integrated event and greater networking opportunities.
