Global Wind Day – tomorrow!

» By | Published 14 Jun 2011

Wind energy is getting set to take to the global centre-stage in under 24 hours time for Global Wind Day. All over the world wind farms will be open, street stands and activities will take place, photo-competition winners will be announced, films will be screened and wind farms will be inaugurated.

Wind energy events are taking place in a whole host of countries from Mexico to New Zealand and all across Europe. Berlin will see the opening of a major new exhibition on wind energy at the capital’s Technical Museum, London will screen a new film alongside TV personality Bill Oddie, and New York will see the unveiling of a new wind energy standard, WindMade TM.

In Brussels, the EU-quarter will host a wind energy parade and a hugely popular public debate on EU energy policy after 2020.
