The Mt Emerald site is intact and provides a fire refugia setting for the local ecology. This stunning area has never been seriously degraded, is ecologically diverse, close to the Walkamin wetlands and is a terrible place for development of any kind.

Windfarms need to be on land that had already been cleared and degraded. We would allow it in rainforest... so why put it here? If this project is allowed to go ahead it will set a dangerous precedant for future renewable energy developments. Yes we support windfarms, but in appropriate locations. This is by far.... NOT appropriate.

This will seriously affect many residents. No one has spoken to us. Noise, traffic, health, visibility, to name just a few. How about talking to those who will be affected by these windmills. Sure if they were in someone else's back yard, I wouldn't care either.
