Trinidad &amp; Tobago Electricity Commission did a pilot project in 1997 for a site in Tobago and the study established the fact that wind power generation was a commercially viable alternative. The wind power density was attractive to even partially cover the base load for Tobago. Several research &amp; studies have been done at UWI. Now, it is in the hands of the government to show committment and put in place a regulatory framework &amp; policy to make wind power generation an industry and a reality.]]></description>
