Jeroen Stuyts, born in 1990, Belgium, received the B.Sc. degree in 2011 and the M.Sc. degree in 2013 as Energy Engineer from the KU Leuven, Belgium. In his Master's thesis he developed an electrical energy conversion system for pumping airborne wind energy. He is currently working towards a PhD at the KU Leuven/EnergyVille, with a fellowship from VITO. His research interests are power electronics, drives, renewable energy sources and the grid coupling thereof. Currently he conducts research on high power grid-friendly converters with fault ride-through capabilities in a distorted low-voltage grid.
