Presenter's biographyBiographies are supplied directly by presenters at EWEA 2015 and are published here unedited
Dr Pierre-Luc Delafin has been working on vertical axis turbines (tidal and wind turbines) for almost 5 years. He is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in aerodynamics and CFD in the Centre for Offshore and Renewable Energy Engineering at Cranfield University (UK). He studied fluid mechanics and energetics at Grenoble Institute of Technology for his master degree and obtained his PhD at the French Naval Academy Research Institute. His research is focused on the laminar to turbulent transition phenomenon as well as on the aerodynamic performance of vertical axis wind turbines.
