Europe’s wind industry should join forces at EWEA 2014 to send a positive signal from Spain, says ENERCON Managing Director, Hans-Dieter Kettwig.
“An ambitious target for the expansion of renewable energies by the year 2030 is of key importance to our industry. The EWEA 2014 in Barcelona provides us with a forum to jointly discuss these pressing political and technological challenges and to present innovative solutions. Let’s make a joint effort to send a positive signal from Spain – where things have been difficult in recent years – to the renewable energies sector in Europe and the rest of the world,” he says.
By the end of 2013, ENERCON has installed nearly 30,000 MW of gearless onshore wind power in Europe. It is the fourth largest wind turbine manufacturer in the world and has been the market leader in Germany since the mid-nineties.
ENERCON Managing Director, Hans-Dieter Kettwig has been appointed as Conference Chair of EWEA 2014 Annual Event. The conference programme comprises 30 sessions covering, business and policy, resource assessment, science and research, and hardware technology.
